A Review of Boost Mobile

As a typical human being, I’m guilty of constantly chasing the bigger better deal and later suffering for my insatiable curiosity. For three years I have used Sprint’s service for $60.00 a month and complained about my access to very few weekly any time minutes. When I heard of Boost Mobiles $50.00 unlimited talk, text and Internet prepay package I was naturally intrigued and saw a light at the end of the monetary consumption tunnel.

After purchasing the finest Boost phone possible for $80.00 and my $50.00 pre pay card from Walmart, I broke my contract with Sprint and anxiously activated my new Boost mobile set up, however activating was a much larger task than I had anticipated. I had to call Boosts help line four times in a row and go through 10 minutes of automated speech before the machine would hang up on me.  Forty minutes of shrilling wait time later, I finally achieved phone activation, but to my dismay discovered my “top notch” Boost phone was equipped with ancient technology.

As a college student at Ball State University, I use my phone for everything from scheduling to taking pictures. The Motorola phone I purchased had very little options and seemed like something from the stone ages. Throughout the week my experience consistently worsened, as I had to keep calling Boost for other issues that took hours to resolve. After banging my head against the wall in frustration for a week, I decided to retract my contract break with Sprint and return the Motorola phone prior to the return period ending. Thankfully, I was able to successfully return the phone, but was still stuck with the $50 Boost card that I had to chalk off as a complete waste of money. The moral this article is to inform readers to make purchases with caution read the fine print and hopefully learn from my mistake.
